In accordance with the guidelines established by the New York State Education Department, medications can be administered in school with:
- A written order from a doctor
- Written permission from the parent/guardian
Medication must be delivered to the health office by the parent/guardian.
*Under no circumstances should a child bring medication to school.
- Prescription medications should be in the original container with a pharmacy label.
- Over-the-counter medication must also be in the original container/package with the name of the student written on the container.
